Switzerland/Norway/Serbia - sorry, we no longer ship to Switzerland, Norway or Serbia due to recurring issues with Customs & Import processes. Many customer get deliveries to neighbouring countries and then bring articles across the border themselves. We can refund VAT payment in some specific circumstances, details here.

Canary Islands - we do not ship the the Canary Islands, some customer have ordered for delivery to a freight forwarding company in Spain and then arranged onward export themselves. We can refund VAT payment in some specific circumstances, details here.

Australia / New Zealand - we do not export to consumers, but we are looking for a distributor - get in touch if that is you !

Add to Cart & ETA Dates

  1. If an item has a green Add to Cart button then you can be confident that it is in fact availlable now and ready to despatch. If an item currently has low stock levels then we do sometimes also display the date that we are expecting another delivery. If the button is green you can order now.

  2. If the Add to Cart button is grey then we are out of stock now, we add 'Due in' dates below the button as soon as we know when they will be re-stocked. Alternatively, if an item is definately not going to be re-stocked then we add the word 'Discontinued'

  3. Where we have displayed an ETA date - this takes into account our experience of potential delays from specific suppliers - but please bear with us, they are 'educated' estimates not guaranteed availability dates.

  4. Our normal supply cycle: We are the EU distributor of Kiravans products so we get a delivery once per month from the UK to our Dutch warehouse. As a rule these shipments arrive between the 5th and 10th of the month, so if an article is on the next consignment you will see an ETA date of the 15th (to take account of potential delays)

If an article does not have ETA date displayed then we are still awaiting information from our supplier and can not yet give you any more details.

Sorry no. The ETA dates that we give online are our 'best guess'. After many years in this industry we can still not guarantee that our suppliers we will actually achieve these dates every time - and we really don't want to take your money until we know with 100% accuracy that we can send your order promptly. Which means we don't take pre-orders.

Instead we suggest that you 'sign up to be notified' on the product page. That way we will be able to email you as soon as the next delivery is back in stock.

Parcel Tracking

As soon as your parcels have been processed for shipping, we will send you the tracking details. Please follow your parcel(s) using the tracking provided.  Depending on the purchased item(s) and destination we will select an appropriate courier.  The tracking websites for each of the couriers provide slightly different options in different countries, but some will allow you to follow the delivery vehicle on delivery day, or let you make adjustments to the delivery such as:

  •  Deliver to a neighbour

  •  Deliver to a parcel shop

  •  Delay delivery

If you think you might not be home on delivery day, please use one of these options, if available, to give the courier the best chance to get your parcel to you.

Multiple Parcels

If your order requires more than one parcel to be sent, we will usually use the same courier for all of the parcels.  This does not mean they will always arrive together.  We will usually try to send you the tracking details for each parcel but it is not always possible.  Some couriers will indicate if the tracked parcel has other associated parcels in the consignment and will allow you to check the progress for each item.

 

All orders are shippied from our warehouse in the Netherlands.  Approximate delivery times are as follows:

  • EU Zone 1 (e.g. FR / DE etc.):   3-5 working days

  • EU Zone 2 (e.g. AT / IE / SE etc.):   5-7 working days

  • EU Zone 3 (e.g. GR / ES / LT etc.):   7-10 working days

Please note that orders placed before midday on a working day are counted as day zero.  For orders placed after midday, or on a non-working day, day zero is the next working day after the order has been placed.  Remember to consider the impact of public holidays in any of the countries that your parcel may pass through in its journey from the Netherlands.  You can view a full list of which countries are in which delivery zones here.

 

If you are following the tracking closely, you should be able to work out if there will be somebody home to receive it.  If there will be nobody home on the delivery day, it is advisable to use any delivery options that might be available to redirect the parcel to another location or date.  In the absence of instructions, if there is nobody home when the parcel arrives, the driver will make a decision to do one of the following things:

  • Try again tomorrow

Most often, the driver will try the delivery again tomorrow.  Check the tracking page for details.

  • Deliver to a neighbour

You can request this on some tracking pages, but if nobody is home the driver may try to deliver to one of your neighbours.  They will usually leave a card to indicate where the parcel is, but not always.

  • Deliver to a local parcel shop

You can specify this on some tracking pages, but if nobody is home the driver may just drop the parcel off at a parcel shop.  They will usually leave a card to indicate where the shop is, but you can also usually find this on the tracking page.

  • Leave the parcel at a hidden location at your property

This usually only happens if you have specifically indicated this on your parcel tracking options, but sometimes the driver will take a chance. They will usually post a card through your letterbox to explain what they did.

We are very sorry to hear that your delivery is incomplete or missing. Please be aware that we normally only send you the tracking details for the first parcel in your order - there may be additonal parcels. We do also find that parcels sometimes get delayed in the courier network, and parcels that are sent together do not always arrive at the same time.

The first thing to do is to check for any additional parcels, and for any updates from the courier - you can do this online right now:

1. Open the most recent email we sent you (Shipping Confirmation) and click on the link for parcel tracking.  If you did not receive this e-mail then please check your spam folder:

2. On the parcel tracking page that opens, click on the 'Consignment Number / Sendungsnummer' link  *two* times in order to see a list of all the parcels in your consignment and their current delivery status:

You will be able to view the latest location data for any parcels still in transit, together with details of any delivery issues.  If the parcel was delivered to a neighbour or parcel shop, this information will also appear here.

The above pictures show the information displayed for DPD parcels.  GLS parcels provide similar guidance to show you the other parcels in your consignment.

If this does not resolve your query then we have 2 options. In both cases we will wait 2 - 3 days before taking action.  More often than not missing parcels do get delivered by the couriers, just a day or two late:

Option1:  We will refund you for the missing items
Option2:  We will send you a replacement for the missing items.

  • Damage Parcel Identified by Courier

If the courier determines that your order has been seriously damaged, they will return it to us.  It is good practice for you to monitor your delivery because Kiravans may not learn of returned goods until we receive them back in the warehouse.  This can take weeks.  If you see such a notification on the tracking, please contact us and we will investigate and resolve the issue.

  • Parcel or Contents Arrived Damaged

If the parcel looks damaged when it arrives, you have the option to refuse the delivery, but it is always worth carefully considering the likely nature of the damage before refusing delivery.

Kiravans take pride in the quality of our packaging and in most cases the cardboard will absorb the damage and the contents will remain intact.  If you are worried about the state of the contents, please take a photo of the unopened package, and then photo(s) of the damaged goods after you open the parcel.  If you are unhappy with the condition of the goods received, please send us the photos and we will find a solution for you.

This is can happen because:

  • The address provided is incorrect or incomplete

Maybe you made a mistake on the order, but it is also possible that the address on the parcel has been obscured or damaged.  When the tracking indicates an address problem it may therefore be some other problem entirely but the driver hit the wrong button, or there was no option available to them to better explain the issue.  

So the problem indicated may not actually be the specific issue, but rest assured there is an issue.  The driver really wants to deliver your parcel!  Check the tracking details and contact the courier yourself directly, or ask Kiravans to investigate.

 

  • Awkward Addresses

It is of course important that you provide the full and complete address when you place your order.  For most properties this will be all that is required.  Over the years, Kiravans have noticed that there is one particular type of address that is more likely to experience delivery issues than others.  If you live in a rural location, your property may be more difficult for the driver to find.

Couriers really want to deliver your parcel.  It is not in their interest to hang on to it for any longer than necessary.  They are under lots of pressure from their bosses to deliver everything on time.  This pressure can sometimes cause problems for deliveries to difficult to find addresses.  Here's why...

The driver has a set time window to deliver your parcel.  This also applies to all of the parcels after your delivery. If they can't quickly and easily find your address, and if they are already slightly behind schedule, they will sometimes sacrifice your delivery so as not to fall out of the delivery window for the rest of their round.  This shouldn’t happen, but it is an unfortunate reality.

While your regular postal delivery service operator visits your address several times each week, the driver for this courier may never have been to your address and might struggle to locate it.  Having the technically correct address on the parcel might not be as much help as you think, but you can help them find you.  Some customers add clues to their address to help the driver find them.  The clue will be a word that describes a distinctive feature around their property that the driver will spot as they go past. Maybe it is a monkey puzzle tree in your garden, or a bright red bicycle that you painted and left at the entrance to your road.  If you run a business, clearly display the business name.  Please note however that each address field has a limit of 35 characters.

If the driver has missed you today, they will most likely try again tomorrow and hope to be ahead of schedule when they reach you so they have more time to locate you.  If the delivery fails repeatedly then there must be an issue of some kind.  Try contacting the courier directly to get more information, or contact Kiravans and we will investgate for you.

It takes a little experience to interpret what might be going on here.  The parcel could be lost, but it might just be in transit.  Your parcel tracking will usually show a scan at the couriers Dutch hub within 24 hours of shipment. Sometimes this scan is missed and the parcel goes directly on a vehicle heading towards its destination.  Depending on how far that is from the Netherlands it could be another 7 days or more before it is scanned again when it reaches the delivery region.  If you are concerned, contact Kiravans and we will investigate.

This can be very frustrating.  The reality is that in most cases the driver did deliver your parcel, but maybe just not to you.  There are a few things you can do:

  • Check your property

It is possible that the driver hid your parcel somewhere discreet around your property but forgot to tell you. Try the recycling bin or under a tarpaulin.  It may be in there sheltering out of the rain.

  • Check with neighbours

Sometimes the driver will deliver your parcel to a neighbour and either forget to tell you that's what happened, or they mistakenly thought they had delivered it to your address.  This is surprisingly common.  Ask around.  There is a strong possibility that your item is sitting in a neighbours hall as they think you have a card.  You shouldn't have to hunt for your parcel, but it is the quickest solution.

  • Wait a day

The driver may have marked your delivery in error.  They won't realise their mistake until they get back to the depot and they have more parcels in the van than they expected.  They will usually try again tomorrow.

  • Contact Kiravans

When none of the above solves the mystery, please contact us.  We will make an investigation and work out a solution for you.

Order Placement

Once you have placed your order you will immediately receive a confirmation email containing your order details and a link to download your invoice.  Please check the details carefully to be sure that you have:

  • Ordered the correct item(s)

Check for vehicle model, lefts and rights and colours etc

  • Provided the complete and correct address including house number

Autofill often takes old or incomplete details and populates them into your checkout page.  It is exceptionally difficult to change an address once the order has been processed, so please make sure these details are correct.

If there is an error, you have around 4 hours to make a correction before the warehouse will start the packing process.  After that it is difficult for us to stop the shipment.  The confirmation email contains a link for you to cancel the order if there is a mistake.

If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder.  If you still can't find it, maybe you entered the wrong email address, or there was a typo.  Please contact us with the details of your order (items + shipping address) to check this.

Order Shipment

Our third party warehouse usually ships orders within 24 hours of the order being placed.  It can sometimes take longer during busy periods or at weekends or public holidays (in the Netherlands) but rarely more than 48 hours.  Once shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation email which will include the tracking details for your parcel or parcels.

We primarily use two couriers for all of our shipments.  Some couriers outsource their deliveries in certain countries.

  • DPD

Most shipments are sent using DPD.  The DPD tracking link will take you to a single page but further details about the shipment, including links to each of the parcels in the consignment, are available when you enter your postal code.  

There may also be details of how you can reschedule the delivery and have it delivered to your home on another date, or to a neighbour's house, or to a safe place, or to a nearby collection point close to your home.  Please note that not all of these options are available for all deliveries in all countries, and they may not show until the parcel has reached the destination region.

  • Chronopost

In France, DPD outsources their deliveries to Chronopost and the tracking link redirects you to the Chronopost website.  The Chronopost tracking page does not tell you if there are other parcels, but if you edit the url to increment the parcel number you will see the other parcels, if they exist.

It is possible on some Chronopost deliveries to reschedule the delivery and have it delivered to your home on another date, or to a neighbour's house, or to a safe place, or to a nearby point close to your home.  To activate these services, click on the link to the chatbot called "Leonard" at the bottom right hand side of the tracking page and start a conversation.

  • GLS

If there is more than one parcel in the consignment, the GLS tracking link will advise you of how many parcels there are when you click on the arrow (>) next to the parcel number at the bottom of the page.  From there you can click further to get access to the full tracking details for all of the parcels.  GLS does not offer any redirection services or delivery options.

 

Courier Preference

We understand that everybody has a courier preference.  In the past, Kiravans have experimented with providing customers with the choice to use various couriers according to their own preference.  In our experience, this does not produce the results you might hope for.  Certain couriers prefer to handle parcels of certain weights and dimensions.  Kiravans products are not standard sized packages and so we carefully choose the couriers that best fit those types of parcels.

From our experience of shipping hundreds of thousands of parcels across Europe over 20 years using every major courier, we have concluded that most of the couriers provide a broadly similar level of service.  All of them have occasional problems but overall the difference between them is quite small.  

The main difference between them is the individual driver at your delivery location.  You may have a great driver with one particular company with excellent local knowledge for your location.  That same driver will have blind spots when they deliver to areas of their patch that they don't know so well, and maybe another driver with the same company has a blind spot for your area.  Drivers change, and routes change.  People are human and we all make mistakes, so give them a break and try to help them as best as you can.

We can arrange a VAT refund for you in a very limited number of situations:

a) You have removed the articles from the EU and can provide documentary proof of that removal (eg customs paperwork / freight courier documents). It is essentrial that these document specify the exact products that have been removed.

OR

b) You are a VAT registered business in the EU, not in the Netherlands, and can provide a valid VAT number

Please contact us using email@kiravans.com and supply all the information mentioned above, along with your order number & bank account details (Bank Name + IBAN + BIC) so that we can pay the refund immediately.

We will issue a new invoice once the refund has been approved and paid.

We can not issue refunds in these circumstances:

  1. you can not provide clear documentation as detailed above
  2. you are in the Netherlands
  3. your VAT number is not registered to the delivery address on your order

We can configure your account on our systems so that VAT is not charged on your order if:

  1. Your business is not located in The Netherlands (we are a Dutch company too so have to charge you VAT)
  2. Your business is located in another EU country (we can supply you excluding VAT with inter-community tax invoices)
  3. Your business has a valid VAT registration number (obviously !)

If you already have a B2B account please just email us email@kiravans.com with your VAT registration number & company name - we can then get your account set up appropriately. In future the prices shown online and the prices charged will be at the appropriate B2B discount and exclude VAT.

If you do do not qualify as a B2B account (ie you are not in the campervan trade) we can still set you up to to pay excluding VAT so long as you are a VAT registered business and we deliver your order to the registered business address. Please apply for an account and we will get it set up for you. The next time you visit our webiste and login you will be charged the prices excluding VAT.

If you are in the campervan trade and have a valid VAT registration please apply for a B2B account and we will get it sorted out for you.

Payment Issues:

If you are having difficulties completing your payment, there is not much we can do to resolve any issues as they are usually related to the third party checkout software, or your bank or chosen payment method.

  • Try using a different device (mobile phone / laptop / tablet)
  • Try using a different browser (Chrome / Firefox / Edge / Exlporer etc)
  • Check your address for any errors or unusual characters (umlauts etc)
  • Try again in a few hours (it might just be a system glitch that will fix itself)
