Wiring Kit Now Included - Our T5–T6.1 double seat swivel now comes with a wiring kit for vehicles equipped with heated seats or seat belt sensors. If your van includes either of these features, the wiring kit makes installation straightforward. If not, you won’t need to use the kit.

How the Swivel Works
The T5/T6 double swivel is one of our most popular and refined products. We love hearing how it's transformed van life for our customers — all without losing the practicality of the front bench seat.
The swivel mechanism in a Kiravans swivel is different from others on the market. It uses a smart slide-and-swivel design, which means you’ll need to open the side door to allow the full range of motion. Once in place, the seat is securely held by four specially engineered locking bolts for safe driving.
Safety
Our double seat swivel has passed rigorous safety testing:
- TÜV Certified in Germany — including in-vehicle pull testing and a SLED crash test. The certificate is available to download below.
- UK Seat Belt Anchorage Test — passed at STATUS, the Specialist Testing Facility at Manchester Metropolitan University. This involved a pull test to EC Directive 76/115/EEC, as amended by 2005/41/EEC.

What is it?
A tin sheet and a pre-cut carpet piece designed to fit perfectly inside the T5/T6 double seat box. It’s a simple yet clever addition that improves under-seat storage — an idea suggested by one of our customers!
What does it do?
When the swivel is fitted, the mechanism inside the seat base can leave exposed hardware and small gaps. This floor plate and carpet:
- Prevent small items from getting trapped
- Eliminate rattles
- Provide a clean, finished look inside the seat base
Fitting Instructions
- Install the double swivel as per our fitting guide and video
- Place the metal plate on top of the swivel base
- Mount the seat on top of the plate and bolt it down — the plate is now sandwiched between the seat and swivel
- Lay the carpet inside the seat base on top of the metal plate
- Result: No gaps, no trapped items, and a quieter ride!
